Account information such as your email address, authentication details and selected app language.

Catch information you choose to save, such as species, date, time, length, weight, notes and location.

Fish photos you submit for identification. The image is uploaded to FiskKoll's app infrastructure and processed to provide the identification result.

Fishing permit information and permit images that you choose to store in the app.

Saved fishing locations, favorites and app preferences you choose to create.

Subscription and payment status. Payments are handled by Stripe; FiskKoll does not store your full card details.

Technical information necessary to operate and secure the app, such as authentication/session information and service errors.

Location is optional. When saving a catch, you can choose hidden, approximate or exact location.

If you choose hidden, coordinates are not attached to that catch. Approximate location is reduced in precision before it is saved.

Your saved fishing spots and catch locations are private to your account and are not made public by FiskKoll unless you explicitly choose a future sharing feature.

To provide fish identification, the fish guide, catch logging, fishing guidance, saved locations and permit storage.

To authenticate your account, keep your data associated with the correct account and enforce Free/Premium limits.

To process subscriptions, maintain app security, troubleshoot errors and improve reliability.

FiskKoll does not sell your personal information to advertisers.

A photo submitted to the scanner is sent through FiskKoll's backend to an AI vision service so the app can estimate the fish species. AI identification can be incorrect and should always be verified before acting on regulations or food-safety information.

Permit documents are private account data. FiskKoll may keep an encrypted/browser-managed local copy of permit metadata and images on your device so permits can remain available offline.

The permit cache is scoped to the signed-in user and is cleared on logout on supported devices. A copy stored in FiskKoll does not replace any official permit or identification requirements.

FiskKoll relies on service providers to operate the app, including Base44 for app infrastructure/authentication, AI processing services used for fish identification, and Stripe for subscription payments. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services and are subject to their own privacy and security obligations.

Your account data is kept while your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal/security obligations.

You can delete individual catches, permits and saved data from the app where those controls are provided.

You can request permanent account deletion from Settings > Delete account. Account deletion removes the FiskKoll account and associated app data handled by the deletion flow. Subscription cancellation may need to be handled separately through the store or payment provider.

You can change app language and default catch-location privacy in Settings.

You can deny location permission at device/browser level and continue using features that do not require location.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal information.

FiskKoll is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission can contact FiskKoll to request review or deletion.

This policy may be updated when FiskKoll's features, providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
